This participatory weekend is designed for those who have taken our Peacemaking Circles Training: The Fundamentals, or an equivalent introductory training, and would like to go deeper.

The focus will be on:

  • Review & Deeper Understanding of Circle Process
  • Consensus
  • Skills & Self-Awareness
  • Practical Applications

Participants will gain knowledge, insight and practical tools useful for their personal and professional lives. This is ideal for those who have experience participating in or facilitating/keeping Circles.

Facilitators

Barry & EvelynDr. Evelyn Zellerer is a highly sought after international facilitator, trainer, keynote speaker and consultant, with over 20 years experience working with schools, police, prisons, governments, organizations, families and communities.
Evelyn is a Professor of Criminology, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and Founder/Director, Peace of the Circle.

Barry Stuart, retired Chief Justice, Yukon Territorial Court, has 45 years of experience as judge and mediator. He pioneered the use of peacemaking circles, setting legal precedent for circle sentencing in Canada. Barry is internationally known through his trainings, writing and involvement as a mediator, negotiator and facilitator. He co-authored “Peacemaking Circles: From Crime to Community”. Barry’s principal experience is developing participant driven, consensus based processes at all levels and sizes of public and private matters involving conflict resolution and decision-making.

Pre-Requisite

Peacemaking Circles: The Fundamentals (with Dr Evelyn Zellerer)
Or equivalent 1-3 day Introductory Peacemaking Circles Training (for example with Barry Stuart, Evelyn Zellerer or Kay Pranis).
