Circles are a structured yet flexible approach for communication and creating change. Circles are used in a variety of settings such as workplaces, justice system, government, schools, families and communities.

They can serve many purposes, including: learning, governance, conflict resolution, healing, as well as community and team building.

The Circle process draws upon ancient and contemporary wisdom in a way that serves both the individual and the collective. An approach that opens up different and greater possibilities for all.

Sharon Wakeford

Sharon Wakeford is a trainer with Peace of the Circle & Founder/Director of Being Different. Based in South Africa, Sharon is an internationally accredited mediator and executive coach, with a background in law and over twenty years’ experience in conflict resolution. Sharon is a Regional Mediator for the World Bank and a consultant to the International Labour Organization, where she develops programmes on mediation, negotiation, workplace cooperation and conflict management. She has integrated the key elements of Peace Circles into all areas of her professional practice.
