This first Restorative City Framework offers a clear, comprehensive vision and guide for implementation. Be inspired by examples of restorative approaches in action.
It is the result of a five year journey under the leadership of Peace of the Circle.
As the founding director and lead author, deep gratitude is extended to everyone who attended a Restorative Collective meeting and all who contributed in various ways to advancing our vision.
Living, working and playing on this beautiful earth is a gift and comes with responsibility. This Restorative City Framework includes a call to restore our relationships with all life and to uphold Indigenous and natural laws.
We recognize the inherent rights of First Nations and this framework is an offering from the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (TsleilWaututh) Nations.
We also thank the City of Vancouver and Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General for their support.
